About the event
Managed Motorways is being delivered as part of the government’s £9 billion commitment to improve the national road network. To that end, policy makers, contractors and consultants are gearing up to work collaboratively on designing, constructing, commissioning and operating the numerous managed motorways projects. In addition to new technologies, it will consider currently available ITS solutions alongside opportunities to migrate established technologies in other industries that could be applied to a motorway environment.
This event will look at technology issues from the M42 ATM trial that will influence future contracts, and the challenges posed by future projects. Also, this event provides a rare opportunity to hear from people involved in implemented managed motorways in the USA, France, Netherlands and German, to better understand the successes and pitfalls in implementing these projects.
