Introduction
Road pricing has been a strong subject of contention and debate in recent years. This broad topic covers areas and ideas such as toll roads, proposed charges per mile for road users and congestion charges similar to the one implemented in London in 2003. As we move forward, plans are afoot to introduce similar systems to other major UK cities namely Manchester and Birmingham. The use of electronic systems of various kinds can be used to identify vehicles travelling on particular roads and the foreseeable technological network required for such projects is vast.
About the conference

Delegates can also hear feedback on the success of these schemes in the UK and overseas, giving a world-wide perspective of road pricing.
