About the event
The next generation networks conference 2008 is the second event organised on this topic by the IET’s Communications Technical and Professional Network, Europe’s largest comms engineering community with 24,000 members from 120 countries.
Once again the next generation networks conference will be run in conjunction with IPTV therefore there is the opportunity to attend two exciting one-day seminars and learn about the very latest technologies, tools and strategies surrounding Next Generation Networks and IPTV & Convergence.
The seminar on Next Generation Networks (NGNs) provides you with the latest insights from industry experts on this rapidly evolving technology. It will cover the most recent progress on realising the benefits of convergent IP infrastructure in real networks carrying bandwidth hungry applications such as IPTV, an update on key developments in component technology and views on network strategy from Europe’s leading operators.
The seminar on IPTV & Convergence will look at the future of IPTV, analyse the revenue streams and business models available, look in detail at the content deliverers and highlight the issues surrounding regulatory and commercial areas.
You can also supplement your seminar attendance with the free-to-attend lecture on Origins and Future of the Internet, taking place on the evening of 9 December.
Attending part or all of the two days gives you a prime opportunity to network with your fellow telecom operators, content providers, technology suppliers and technical specialists covering the latest technical, strategic business and regulatory developments.
