Introduction
The IET has become a supporting organisation for All-Energy, the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference. This is the eighth in the annual series; the last event in May 2007 attracted 4000 attendees, 350 exhibiting companies and some 220 speakers.
About this event
There will be free-to-attend conference streams dealing with wind (on- and offshore); wave and tidal energy, hydro, hydrogen and fuel cells, bioenergy, low carbon buildings and microgeneration, and carbon capture and storage; with sessions also on issues and challenges facing the industry (such as grid/network issues, skills shortages and challenges, renewables for communities and for the farming community, and the power industry’s current views).
The ‘looking back' web page at www.all-energy.co.uk not only gives the full programme for the 2007 conference as a guide, but also links to many of the presentations enabling you to get a feel for the event.
Engineering for a Sustainable Future TPN
The IET will be exhibiting at All Energy to promote the institution and the work of the Engineering for a Sustainable Future Technical and Professional Network (TPN). This is a great opportunity to participate and promote the work of our community so I do hope you will be able to support this activity.
