Introduction
The first FISITA Congress was organised in Paris in 1947. Since then, this biennial gathering of the world's top engineers, scientists and industry leaders has become synonymous with the very latest and most important advances in automotive design, research, development and production.
The most recent FISITA congress, held in Yokohama, Japan, attracted over 1,500 delegates from 40+ countries. A further 7,000 people visited the accompanying exhibition. More than 500 technical presentations were given by leading experts on every aspect of vehicle design, development and production during the 4 days of the congress.
