The IET has a network of members who work with schools in their area on a voluntary basis. These Schools Liaison Officers (SLO), supported by other IET members, collaborate with the SETPOINT network to deliver a wide range of activities which aim to enthuse pupils about science, technology, engineering and maths. The activities range from touring workshops to problem solving projects, competitions and lectures.
Contact us for details of SLOs.
SETPOINTs are local centres of information for schools about initiatives and resources relating to science, engineering, technology and maths. They also organise a programme of initiatives to support these subject areas and make links between schools and industry. STEMNET (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network) is the national managing organisation.
