Fast track to professional status as an Engineering Technician (EngTech)
Engineering Technician (EngTech) is an important career marker as it marks out those with the qualification as highly skilled and experienced and demonstrates a commitment to a professional approach. EngTech registration adds impressive credentials to a technician’s CV, thereby enhancing career opportunities and at the same time brings the benefits of becoming a Member (TMIET).
Am I eligible to apply for Fast Track EngTech registration?
You are eligible to apply under this scheme if you have successfully completed an approved apprenticeship scheme. The full list of approved apprenticeship scheme providers can be found opposite.
How do I apply?
You can download an application form for the Fast track EngTech Professional Registration. Please read the guidance notes at the back of the form to ensure the application is fully completed and the necessary documents are included.
The Development Action Plan
One of the requirements of the Professional Registration application is to confirm an ongoing commitment to Professional Development. You can submit your own company based development plan or complete the Development Action Plan document included in the application form, outlining the goals and actions you plan to undertake during your current personal development (of about 12 to 18 months).
How much does it cost?
The fees associated with EngTech Fast Track registration applications are specified at the back of the application for existing IET members and non-members.
