Thinking about CEng, IEng or EngTech but not sure where to start?

Sending us a registered professional development (RPD) form will enable us to send you everything you need, but is only really relevant if you are not close to being ready to apply.

If you are starting your career as an apprentice or recent graduate, are on a work placement, or have only recently moved into a responsible role.
Don't send us an RPD form
If you are established in your career, with knowledge and experience that means you are ready to apply.
Registering is free
There are two ways to register:
- Download the RPD form (available via downloads)
- Use Career Manager
You can also send updated details via both these routes.
What happens next?
You will receive an information pack and regular email bulletins on how we can support you whilst you work towards registration. Here are just a few of the support services from which you can benefit:
- Mentoring – if your company does not have a mentoring scheme, you can apply for a mentor through our mentoring service.
- Career Manager – manage your professional development, prepare and submit your registration application using our online system.
- PD How2 – information and guidance on planning, doing, recording and reviewing your professional development.
- IET staff – contact us, we are always on hand to answer your questions.
