Electrical Maintenance
A two day course.
The course should also benefit general maintenance and plant managers, estate managers and mechanical and electrical contractors. For those already engaged in handling electrical maintenance the course will provide a valuable refresher and a basis for auditing present company arrangements.
Advanced maintenance techniques such as reliability centred maintenance (RCM) are outside the scope of the course.
Topics include:
- need for maintenance, types and strategy, legal aspects;
- transformers and switchgear;
- low voltage electrical installations and equipment;
- lightning protection systems;
- lighting installations;
- fire detection and alarm systems;
- standby power supplies;
- motor driven plant;
- personnel, including competence, training, use of contractors;
- documentation and records.
