Assisting your employees in gaining professional registration through the IET.
Professional registration is an important milestone for any engineer or technician. It establishes your proven knowledge, understanding and competence. In particular, registration shows your peers, employer and customers that you have demonstrated a commitment to professional standards, and to developing and enhancing competence.
There are currently four types of professional registration:
The IET Partnership team can work with your organisation to develop your employees and structure their path towards professional registration.
If you have 10 or more engineers who are ready to apply for professional registration, we can work with you to co-ordinate your own company specific registration scheme. This enables potential registrants to progress their professional registration applications at a similar pace.
The scheme allows your organisation to work with us to pre-agreed time scales for:
* subject to sufficient applicants
Offering a group scheme can provide your employees with a structured and supportive group environment in which they can confidently work their way through the professional registration application process.
We are keen to recruit Industry Representatives from our Corporate Partners as we believe that the best way to promote professionalism within, is to utilise employees at the heart of that community.
Industry representatives are IET Fellows and Members who are interested in promoting the activities of the IET. They act as a link between the IET and their organisation.
The IET will fully support individuals who wish to become Industry Representatives and will provide them with sufficient training to get started. They will also be invited to attend the conference for UK Industry Representatives annually.
