Cisco professionals and professional registration

As a Cisco-certified professional, you already understand the importance of qualifications and industry standards. Becoming professionally registered provides further recognition of your skills and experience and supports your career development. The IET offers its members professional registration as Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporate Engineer (IEng), Engineering Technician (EngTech) and now ICT Technician (ICTTech).

ICTTech

ICTTech is a new global professional standard (launched in January 2009) specially designed for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) practitioners and available to all Cisco-certified professionals.

It is an assessment that considers not only your technical expertise, but also your wider skill set such as business knowledge, commitment to professionalism and personal communication. It will complement your Cisco-certification and provide you with an additional globally-recognised qualification.

As an assessed ICT Technician, you will have a protected title and the right to use ICTTech after your name as formal recognition of your skills and abilities. This is an assurance to any business that you have met and demonstrated a high level of technical and professional competence.

First step to becoming professionally registered

The first step is to become a member of the IET: as an active Cisco-certified professional, you are assured a fast-track entry route to membership thanks to the agreement between the IET and Cisco.
