Royal Air Force IET approved apprenticeships

RAF Cosford and St Athan approved apprenticeships.

By completing an apprenticeship approved by the IET a graduating apprentice is entitled to apply for EngTech or ICTTech registration with the Engineering Council.

Mapped work-based learning

The IET has mapped a number of technical or engineering level 3 S/NVQ qualifications against the requirements for EngTech or ICTTech registration with the Engineering Council.

What does this mean?

Normally, in order to register, evidence has to be supplied to prove that a candidate is competent. This takes the form of a written report of projects or pieces of work that demonstrate competence.

However, if you have completed an IET approved apprenticeship, the completion of the S/NVQ is evidence enough, providing your choice of units creates a mapped pathway.
