What is Graduate Advantage?

Graduate advantage is a membership package to help students during the transition from university to employment and for upgrading their membership from Student to Member MIET.

The main benefits of Graduate Advantage are that it allows students, preparing for the days after graduation to continue to gain access to all the resources of the IET. In addition it offers assistance and guidance on settling into your first professional role, applying for jobs and moving up to full MIET status (subject to meeting the member criteria) allowing you to use the MIET letters after your name - all at a significantly reduced rate at a time when we know you are most likely to be struggling for money.

How much does Graduate Advantage cost?

There is a special arrangement for Student Members within their final year of studying, who can sign to the Graduate Advantage package for only £20 providing they make the payment in advance prior to course end.  After the course end, new and existing members who haven't made the advance payment can only sign up to Graduate Advantage at the reduced membership rate of £60 for the 12 months after completing their course.

Am I able to have a rate reduction on the Graduate Advantage fee in special circumstances such as being unemployed?

Graduate Advantage already offers membership at a greatly reduced rate and therefore no further discounts can be applied to this rate.

What do I get for signing up to Graduate Advantage?
