The key benefit of Career Advantage is that it is designed, as the name would suggest, to help you on your way in your career. If you are working towards professional registration (CEng or IEng) we will provide you with a plan of suggested goals to guide you towards registration. Throughout the Career Advantage membership period the IET will be supporting your career and keeping you up-to-date with events, knowledge and communities, which will be important to keep you up-to-date in your engineering career.

No, Career Advantage is open to Associates and MIET's, however the package and communications are more suitable to those at MIET level and we would be expecting you to seriously be considering transfer to this Membership category, so if you have not already done so, you should apply for a transfer of membership (subject to assessment). To transfer your membership, please go to the Transfer or upgrade your membership page.
If you have decided to continue your studies, and will be studying full-time you have 2 options.
As a part-time post graduate student you are not eligible for student membership, however as long as you graduated within the last three years you will be eligible for Career Advantage.
