Become an Academic Partner

A formal platform to increase your engagement with the IET.

Academic accreditation

Accredited programmes provide students with a good foundation for professional registration by demonstrating that they meet some or all of the underpinning knowledge and understanding requirements for professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng).

All UK Academic Partners must be IET Accredited. Visit the IET academic accreditation pages for more information.

Academic Partners and Enhanced Academic Partners

Accredited universities will be offered one of two Academic Partner packages, which each contain a tailored range of products and services to suit students, technicians and academics.

Academic Partners
Accredited by the IET and fund membership for a minimum of 50 students.

Enhanced Academic Partners
Accredited by the IET and fund membership for a minimum of 100 students plus an annual fee of £500.

Graduate employability

As an Academic Partner you can take full advantage of the IET Graduate Advantage initiative. Designed to support your final year students throughout their final year and after they leave university Graduate Advantage helps them take the vital next steps towards employment.
