This note is primarily for the benefit of non-UK institutions which do not traditionally have an External examiner type role as a matter of course. It is for guidance and is not intended to fully define the role of External Examiners or their equivalent. It is normal practice for accreditation panels to review the External Examiner reports as part of the accreditation visit activity.
