The following scholarships are available in 2009; please note that you don't need to choose which Scholarship to apply for (this decision will be made by the Scholarships Committee).
Leslie H Paddle Scholarship (1 award available @ £10,000 per annum for 2 years)*
For postgraduate research which will further the art, science or practice of electronic or radio engineering.
Hudswell International Research Scholarships (3 awards available @ £5,000)*
To assist IET members with advanced research work leading to the award of a Doctorate at an internationally recognised university or research establishment with a high reputation for research in the field of electrical, electronic, manufacturing or information engineering.
IET Masters Degree Scholarships (6 awards available @ £1,500)*
To assist IET members in undertaking advanced postgraduate research/studies for MRes or MSc degrees in electrical, electronic, manufacturing or information engineering.
Robinson Research Scholarship (2 awards available @ £1,250 per annum)*
To enable exceptional engineering graduates to pursue original work leading to a postgraduate or postdoctoral qualification.
Lord Lloyd of Kilgerran Memorial Prize (1 prize available @ £1,000)*
Awarded to a candidate who intends to undertake a MSc, MPhil or PhD in mobile radio and RF engineering at a university in the UK.
Awards for those in particular financial need:
IET Postgraduate Scholarship (3 awards @ £1,250)*
For advanced study or research in electrical, electronic science, manufacturing or power engineering.
Leonard Research Grant (1 award @ £1,000 per annum for 2 years)*
To assist exceptional engineering graduates who, through financial constraint, may not otherwise be able to undertake or complete postgraduate work leading to a higher degree.
*All postgraduate scholarship winners receive a year's free membership as part of their award.
