Younger Members' Conference Bursary

Regulations and who should apply?

  1. Bursaries are open to members carrying out career development activities who have had papers accepted for formal presentation at an IET Conference, or other conference which is co-sponsored by the IET.
  2. The number of bursaries available is limited: No more than two awards per IET Conference or IET cosponsored conference may be allocated.
  3. An award may only be used in order to finance costs directly associated with attendance at the event (i.e. registration fees and accommodation costs). The maximum value of an award will be £350.
  4. The applicant must immediately notify the IET if unable to attend the event for which a bursary has been requested, or funding from an alternative source or employer has been received.
  5. A bursary is not transferable to another Conference.
  6. Successful applicants are required to submit a professional report of at least 500-l000 words, within two months of the date of the event, outlining the benefits received through attending the event
  7. Decisions reached will be regarded as final and correspondence relating to the allocation of awards will not be entered into once the results have been announced.
