Younger Members' Conference Bursary
What is it?
These Bursaries provide funding towards the cost of accommodation and conference fees for IET members carrying out career development activities who have had papers accepted for formal presentation at an IET organised or co-sponsored Conference.
There is no restriction as to country of residence. There will be up to two bursaries offered for each IET Conference or conference, which is cosponsored by the Institution.
In assessing the applications, the Institution will take into account such factors as:
Soundness and worthiness of the applicant.
Research promise and evidence of ability
The benefit the applicant would obtain through presenting his or her paper at the conference
The applicant's commitment to continuing education and participation in IET Younger Members’ Section / Local Network or other IET activities
whether or not there is a genuine need for the award (in so far as assistance is not available from conventional sources of finance).
