  3. The purpose of these awards is to enable members to broaden their educational and/or professional experience, especially in manufacturing techniques, for example, via a study tour, through working in industry, or through participation in an international conference or seminar.
  4. Retrospective applications (for travel already undertaken) will not be considered.
  5. Successful applicants will be required to provide a professional report of up to 1000 words on their experiences, which may be published in an IET magazine. 6. The successful applicant must notify the IET should there be any change to the proposed date of the visit, itinerary or venue prior to departure.
  7. Decisions reached will be regarded as final and no further correspondence relating to the allocation of awards can be entered into once the results have been announced.
