Dennis Hill Award
History and past winners
History
This is the second year that the Dennis Hill Award has been run by the IET Healthcare Technologies Network and is now recognised as an annual prize for the best MSc project in Healthcare Technologies and cognate subjects.
The award has been founded in memory of Professor Dennis Hill who, for some 50 years, was a staunch promoter of biomedical engineering and healthcare technology activities within the IEE and IET. He was a pioneering researcher and practitioner in many areas of endeavour, particularly in relation to anaesthesia and intensive care, where he was responsible for much innovation in the field of biomedical instrumentation. Professor Dennis Hill had a particular interest in postgraduate education and, hence, it is particularly appropriate that this prize should be awarded in his memory.
