Awards and scholarships
The 2008 IET Awards programme includes awards to reward and celebrate individual excellence and innovation, undergraduate and postgraduate engineering scholarships and a range of travel bursaries:
Ambition Awards 2008
Students and professionals at the start of their engineering and technology careers are given recognition and support via these awards which include:
- Undergraduate and Postgraduate Engineering and IT Scholarships to provide financial support for prospective, and current, post and under graduate students.
- Power Academy scholarships supported by 18 companies and 7 universities offering 60 attractive sponsorship packages to power engineering undergraduate students.
- Travel awards to enable students and young professionals to work abroad, participate in international conferences and undertake study tours.
Innovation Awards 2008
Industrial innovation and best practice across all engineering disciplines are promoted by these awards.
