Ask the Chief Exec

Robin McGill, the IET Chief Executive and Secretary, hosts a monthly question and answer session for members. Submit questions for upcoming webcasts and see past webcasts here.

Hello and welcome to this service from the IET in which I wish to give our members a better opportunity to have their voice heard within the Institution.

My aim is to ensure member engagement with the IET remains as strong as possible and throughout 2007 I will be delivering regular webcasts covering aspects of IET business, performance and development via IET.tv. These will be live sessions supported by an interactive question and answer forum for you to post your questions direct to me in real time.

And, because we want the topics in each webcast to be led by you, we have set up a dedicated email box and discussion forum to which you can post your questions in advance. In each of my webcasts I will undertake to explore and comment on the issues that have prompted the most questions and debate.

The discussion forum will remain in place so that comments and suggestions relating to the questions and my answers will be available for all to contribute.

All previous webcasts will be archived on IET.tv, in the News Channel, for you to watch back a time and place convenient to you.

We welcome your continuous involvement with as well as your opinion on the value of these webcasts and would be grateful if you could take the time to add your voice to the discussion and debate by emailing myvoice@theiet.org or contributing to the forum.
