The role also includes preparing speeches, articles and presentations for the President, Chief Executive and other senior IET representatives. The post holder will be proactive, organised, with the ability to write English to a very high standard. They will have a thorough knowledge of best-practice internal and stakeholder communications, with the ability to exploit all forms of media, including social media.
To work on creating a compelling web offering for the IET with the goal to increase traffic and user engagement. To achieve this by continually improving the user experience of the various web and other digital assets and channels, using various usability research methods and techniques. Take the lead role in user centred design translating business requirements into wireframes and prototypes guided by HCI best practice. Working with both in-house and external graphic designers to produce functionally and visually compelling websites and applications. Have a good understanding of web analytics and be confident in deriving insight, for both business improvement and to aid the user centred design process. Have a solid understating of editorial and content management systems. Provide ad-hoc content management support for IET web zones as necessary. Work on the digital development roadmap and contribute to improving the quality, appeal and consistency of the IET online offering.
