Product Manager - Engineering and Technology Reference

Central to its strategy for growth, the Practitioner Publishing unit of the IET’s Knowledge Services division is developing the content, tools and solutions to enable practicing engineers and the organisations they work with to improve their performance and achieve their goals.

Audio Visual Manager

Responsible for the overall management of the AV team to provide audio visual, lighting, filming, conference call/video, IPTV and production services to all users to provide the ideas & technology that inspire great meetings & events at IET London: Savoy Place.  

To liaise with each client prior to using the venue to ensure a full understanding of their requirements and event objectives.  Offer advice & guidance regarding the optimal equipment & support solution to deliver exceptional customer service every time.  To drive profitability of the venue by maximising sales & managing costs.

Business Development Executive

To pro-actively generate new business into Savoy Place and target lapsed business using a variety of means that may include, but not be limited to, calling lapsed clients, cold calling potential new clients, making sales appointments with interested parties & conference agents, and following up all leads generated by sales exhibitions.

To manage and convert all potential new business into Savoy Place; though effective relationship building and with excellent negotiation skills, whilst ensuring a thorough handover to the event co-ordination team. To assist with delivering the venues annual and monthly budgeted income.

Operations Manager

To manage and oversee the mobilization and all operational functions associated with the day to day management of the building while delivering a 4* service to all users of IET London: Savoy Place.  The role encompasses Conferencing and Banqueting plus Hard and Soft Facilities Management responsibilities.

Regional Sales Manager

Responsible for proactive customer acquisition and new business development within the EMEA region, with both direct and indirect customers and partners. Exemplary management of the sales cycle with prospects and customers. Working with the Account Development Manager and Sales Operations team to ensure effective sales development from lead generation to closed won solution.

Assistant Editor - Letters Journals (10 month fixed term opportunity)

To carry out assigned editorial duties on the Letters journals and any other related publications.

Principal Policy Advisor

To provide expert understanding and analysis on a wide range of engineering policy issues of interest to the IET, including preparing submissions, establishing links between the IET and policy makers, producing technical guidance to members of the public, preparing technical reports for publication and managing policy panels on specialist topics.

Editorial Assistant

To carry out assigned editorial and production duties on the Letters journals and any other related publications.
