Does this exist within the IET? If not, why not?

Jobs can be searched and advertised in E&T Jobs.
More informal exchanges of experience happen wherever engineers meet, including in these forums - check the Professional and Career discussions categories. In the case of students and recent students looking for work experience, you may like to check the relevant resources. Hope this helps. ------------------------- David Rossall The Institution of Engineering and Technology |

Thanks, but a 30 day advert for £295?
I don't think that is what the IET should be about. I am an IET member looking for other IET members / students to work with. There should be a forum for jobs / experience offered and wanted. Agree? ------------------------- Sinclair http://www.kbmsystems.net sinclair@kbmsystems.net |

I think it's fair to say that the IET is not expecting that jobs would normally be posted by members in their private capacities, but on behalf of companies/employers. Obviously that could include small organisations and start-ups.
The IET does work closely with business partners and (for larger organisations) corporate partners, as well as providing many opportunities for members to network. Would you like to say more about your specific proposal? Regards ------------------------- David Rossall The Institution of Engineering and Technology |
