On a radial or combination feeder, where are the most crucial locations for smart meters?
I would think on a radial feeder the mid point is the most crucial, then divide the feeder in halves further? Obviously if there is any DG (large enough to be a concern), then this would become the priority. For the combination feeder I would meter where feeds come off radially from the loop. That being said, do you think it is acceptable for large customers share in the capital cost if a smart meter is installed to monitor their consumption alone? Please let me know what you think. |
