hi
I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts with regard to this semiconductor shortage. We do around 5k units / year (cpu's) that we get from a freescale distributor. The price has jumped from £9 to £52 in the past week and we're feeling a bit nervous as demand outstrips supply. As I understand things the rumours suggest that the market should recover by next quarter, although I should imagine the tier one customers will protract recovery for the rest of us. If anyone has experience of this sort of thing any advice or insight would be welcome in how to manage this kind of event. Thanks |
