Hi there
I've decided after a lot of deliberation to seek employment in M&E biased project management. I've been an electrician for 20 years and self employed for ten years, and due to a down turn in work, I have had to seek employment. As I have been working on my own for ten years without support, I feel that I am capable of making the transition. But my question is, what training would an employer look for to gain a management position? I have been told (by a project manager that I know) to obtain IOSH and NEBOSH and then to obtain MIET status. Also, do companies generally take on people like myself who would need some training. Free work experience, perhaps? Thanks in advance |
