We have just had some new IT cabinets installed within one of our data centres which are fed DC. On inspection the kit has American style black & grey cables installed & to cover this the installer has placed a BS7671 label stating different cabling methods installed on the installation.
Can anyone confirm whether this is sufficient or not as ultimately there is not a mix of blue/grey & black/grey its just simply black/grey? Are there any refs. within the regs relating to this? |

For DC the colours depend on how the system is earthed.
Under the new colours brown is positive and grey is negative, but if a pole is connected to earth then it should be blue. |
