Hi, thought I'd share this with you
I phoned Woking BC this morning at 9.58am, phoned direct to the BC 'central' switchboard, with the purpose of providing 48 hrs notification of commencement of work, which will be tuesday next week. "Do you want to book a visit" "No, we are just starting next week" "Just phone us when you want a visit then" "Don't you want the address, so that you can record that commencement notice has been given?" "No, it's a waste of time, we aren't going to change all of our software so that we can do that" "But it's the law?" "Well, yes, but it's a waste of time really. Don't bother notifying again, just phone when you want a visit" So there you go, from the horses mouth ------------------------- I am prone to talking complete bol***ks at times, please accept my apologies in advance. |

Oh, I forgot to add, she also said "anyway, you'll have to phone before 10 if you want a visit"
I said "it is before 10? Well, it's dead on 10 now but it was 2 minutes 2 when I phoned" "Yes, but it's nearly not" ------------------------- I am prone to talking complete bol***ks at times, please accept my apologies in advance. |

yup, woking borough concil (in relation to houses and part P and fees and notifications of such) are the worst council around this whole area of surrey.
They are a lot better on the commercial side of things I believe. |
