Hello,
I'm looking into creating a website that will act as a database of design and construction information relating to the buildings sector, similar to Wikipedia but for construction and design professionals to refer to. Schools, hotels, commercial office, casino's etc.. The information would not be 'text book' information, but taken from real 'projects' with real input from the engineers, consultants and contractors that created it. I appreciate that there may be issues related to 'licensing' or 'copyright' of the information... this is something that I am looking into to avoid any contractual issues. Would a website such as this be of use? Any comments/ items that a website such as this should contain? |

Dear MickeyB,
I am the IET's Built Environment Sector Head. Could you email me your contact details for we can have a deeper discussion on this idea which has grabbed the interest of the Sector Exec volunteers. bmclelland@theiet.org ------------------------- mclellandb |

Certainly, that website will be of great use!
Has it really developed since your last discussion? If so, please post the link to access it. Regards Nektarios Moraitis BEng MSc MIET |

I'm interested to know how this develops and I have quite a lot of information I could contribute from previous projects.
